Diaries, 1722-1733.

These diaries, consisting of entries written either on the margins of almanac pages or on interleaved blanks included for the purpose, record births and deaths in Boston, the names of preachers and the date and text of their sermons, events of community interest (fires, fast days, visits, etc.), and experiences more personal in nature (e.g., the illness and death of his second wife). There are almanacs for each year from 1722 to 1733, except for 1728 and 1731; there are two almanacs for the year 1729. Almanacs were prepared by Daniel Travis, Nathaniel Whittemore, and Nathaniel Ames, Junior.
